About me.

My Training

Hi, I’m Rosebelle (pronounced “ROSE-a-bell”). I hold a BA in Theatre & Cinema Performance from Asbury University, a small town outside of Lexington, Kentucky. Asbury is where I was first introduced to contemporary acting techniques, mainly the Meisner Technique. From there, I studied acting more intensely at Stella Adler Studio of Acting in NYC, and landed my agent in the southeast, Screen Artists Talent, which partners with a co-op where I was able to refine my technique for film and TV, and advance in other areas of screen acting.

My training covers a wide area from acting technique, scene study and script analysis, improv., Shakespeare, voice and speech. These experiences all strengthened my instrument to live truthfully in imaginary circumstances and also understand the themes and flow of a story to raise myself to a character.

I continue my training by taking different classes and workshops ranging in movement/dance, script analysis, and of course, acting. In addition to acting, I also have crew experience working art department (production design and wardrobe), theatrical lighting and A/V technician, and stage management. I also won a regional award for Best Director for my short film, “Shadow Box,” and hope to continue making other original works.

My passion

Today, I create to invite others to connect with their own humanity and tell stories that inspire and empower people to be their best selves. I love telling visually colorful stories with an underlying theme of joy and empowerment. I have a curious, sweet, intelligent essence that comes out naturally in most characters I play, and I’ve recently been layering in a hint of femme fatale to my roles.

I’m an active member of the Avante-Garage Theatre Co. where I continue to work and practice my craft (and occasionally play Taylor Swift songs on my guitar during Open Mic nights), and I’m working towards developing projects of my own. My TV & film obsessions as of late have been The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Little Women (Greta Gerwig), and Rings of Power.

A Little History

I grew up in a small town outside of Cleveland, Ohio.

My mom was my biggest cheerleader, always encouraging my artistic side. She even signed me up for Martial Arts (I begged for ballet, but at least I’m tougher than I look.), violin lessons, and drawing classes.

I eventually found a community theatre that eagerly used its youth program to not only play games and tell silly stories, but educate us on history and take us to museums and workshops to help tell historical plays as truthfully and fully as possible.

I decided pursue acting professionally after an impactful experience in holocaust tribute piece. During our training, we visited holocaust museums and heard stories from survivors, and eventually toured our production to other schools and community centers. I (the pale blonde) was the only character representing the Nazis. While I didn’t know it at the time, I was intuitively learning “Awareness without judgment” very early on.

After this production, I continued to act on stage consistently and started reading plays and doing research on my own.
